Chandeliers

Our chandeliers include dimmable fixtures with steel cylinder shades, sheer drum shades with crystal accents, sputnik and lantern frames, and long linear island chandeliers. Finishes cover bronze, aged brass, antiqued gold, nickel and matte black, with three-light to twelve-light options for small breakfast nooks up to large dining rooms. Dimmable designs let one fixture work for dinner parties and quiet evenings alike. Pair a chandelier with matching pendant lights over an island, center it above one of our dining tables, or add wall sconces to balance the room.

How to choose a chandelier size

A chandelier that is too small looks lost, and one that is too large crowds the table. These rules of thumb get you close.

  • Open rooms and foyers: add the room's length and width in feet. The total, read in inches, is a good fixture diameter. A 12 by 14 foot room suits a chandelier about 26 inches wide.
  • Over a dining table: aim for a width between one-half and two-thirds of the table width, and hang the bottom 30 to 36 inches above the tabletop.
  • Long tables and islands: a linear chandelier, or two smaller fixtures, spreads light more evenly than one round piece.
  • Walkways: in entries and living areas, keep at least 7 feet of clearance below the fixture.

Finish should echo other metals in the room, such as cabinet hardware or chair legs. Install a dimmer switch so dimmable fixtures can shift from bright task light to a soft glow. For more detail, read how to choose a chandelier size.
