10' x 13' Rugs at Adore the Decor
When a 9x12 leaves too much floor showing, a 10x13 rug fills large living rooms, great rooms and long dining spaces. Choose from oriental rugs with fringe, stain resistant power loom designs, hand tufted wool geometrics and hand woven solids, plus abstract and floral patterns in ivory, gray, navy, rust and gold. Multicolor oriental designs are forgiving in busy family rooms. To compare sizes, look at 9x12 rugs or 12x15 rugs, or shop oriental area rugs in every size.

Do you need a 10x13 rug?
Oversized rugs are easy to underestimate. A 10x13 generally suits rooms of about 14 by 17 feet or more, or an open-plan seating area that needs clear definition.
- Sectionals: a large sectional plus two chairs can sit fully on a 10x13, which reads as one calm zone.
- Dining: it works under tables that seat eight to ten, keeping every chair on the rug.
- Measuring: outline 10 by 13 feet with painter's tape and walk around it. You want at least a foot of floor showing along the walls.
- Doors and vents: check that doors swing clear and floor vents stay uncovered.
Fringed rugs need a little extra care. Vacuum across the body of the rug and avoid running a beater bar over the fringe, which can tangle it. A rug pad sized slightly smaller than the rug keeps a large piece flat and stops corners from curling. For a full chart of room sizes, read what size rug do you need.
