Shower Curtains

Refresh a bathroom with shower curtains in waffle weave, sheer and grid, floral, ombre, striped and embroidered designs. Colors run from white, ivory and gray to blush, navy, mocha and green, and some curtains include hooks or come as a curtain and liner set. Textured white waffle weave keeps a bath bright, while a bold floral or animal print adds color to a plain tiled room. Coordinate with bathroom wall art, add a shower bench, or browse the full bath collection.

How to choose and hang a shower curtain

Fit matters as much as pattern. A curtain that is too short shows the liner, and one that is too long collects water on the floor.

  • Standard size: most shower curtains are about 72 by 72 inches, sized for a standard tub.
  • Rod height: for a standard curtain, mount the rod around 75 to 77 inches from the floor so the hem falls inside the tub.
  • Liner: hang a liner on the inside of the tub to keep water off the decorative curtain.
  • Hooks: if hooks are not included, count the grommets before buying a set.
  • Fullness: a curtain wider than the rod opening hangs in soft folds rather than stretched flat.

Leave the curtain spread open after a shower so it dries quickly, and run the bath fan to cut humidity. Wash fabric curtains according to the care label and replace liners when they cloud. For a cohesive bath, repeat one color from the curtain in towels or art.
